Tattoo Aftercare
Yay, you got a new tattoo! Here’s a kind guide to help it heal beautifully 🥹
💖 1. About the Second Skin
Your tattoo is covered with a second skin to protect it right after your session. The first one can stay on for up to 24 hours maximum
If you decide to use another second skin after that, you can keep it on for up to four days depending on the brand.
⚠️If you notice any redness or irritation around the edges, please remove it right away since it might be an allergy (please let me know if you react to it so I can write down the brand and avoid using it on you in the future).
🫧 2. Keep it clean
When the second skin comes off, gently wash your tattoo with lukewarm water and a mild fragrance free soap
Pat it dry with a clean paper towel and try not to rub it
✨ 3. Moisturize Gently
Apply a thin layer of cream
I recommend Cicaplast because it is gentle and calming for healing skin.
💖Clean and moisturize your tattoo two or three times a day in the first days
Try to avoid friction from clothes so your tattoo stays healthy💖
☀️ 4. No Sun and No Soaking
Your tattoo is very delicate right now
Try to avoid direct sun, swimming pools, the ocean, hot tubs and baths
💖Showers are totally okay 💖
⚠️ 5. Hands Off
Your tattoo may peel or itch while it heals and this is completely normal
Do not to pick or scratch it so the lines and colors stay crisp and pretty
A little tip for the itchiness: Ice or a very thin layer of cream can help soothe the area
🌟 6. Touch Ups
Once your tattoo is fully healed, if it needs a little touch up, you can book it for free through my website
The sooner we do the touch up after it is healed, the better it will look in the long run
And once it is healed, don’t forget sunscreen to keep it vibrant
📸 7. I Love Your Healed Photos
I absolutely love receiving healed tattoo photos, It is the best way for me to keep learning and improving.
💖So feel free to send them once everything is healed 💖
